OVERVIEW

The master's program aims to explore biodiversity from a biotechnological perspective, focusing on the potential benefits of plant, microorganism, and another organism metabolism. It emphasizes species conservation and the sustainable use of natural resources to address major challenges in agriculture, animal production, human health, and industry.

APPLICANT PROFILE

The master's program is designed for professionals with a Bachelor's or Engineering degree in Biology, Marine Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry and Pharmacy, Chemistry, Food Science, Agro-industries, or other related fields. Applicants must have completed at least 200 academic credits in their undergraduate studies.

GRADUATE PROFILE

Graduates of this program will be prepared for careers in public research institutes, private scientific organizations, and the productive sector, including the pharmaceutical, agricultural, food, and environmental industries. They will also have opportunities to teach at various levels within the national education system and participate in national research and academic programs in bioprospecting, biodiscovery, and related fields.
