OVERVIEW

The Master of Civil Engineering Degree with a specialization in Construction and Sanitation aims to drive progress in the country by preparing professionals with the skills to plan and manage civil engenieer projects effectively. It focuses on using innovativing materials, improving construction processes, and ensuring the longevity and resilience of infrastructures. The program also highlights the importance of managing and designing systems for drinking water and wastewater treatment. By addressing the growing need for safe and reliable constructions, it prepares graduates to create infrastructures that can withstand environmental challenges, seismic activity, and long-term use. This well-rounded training promotes responsible and sustainable project management, integrating technical proficiency with social and environmental responsibility.

WHY CHOOSE THIS PROGRAM?

APPLICANT PROFILE

The program is intended for professionals who hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Architecture.

The applications submitted by professionals holding a degree in fields other than the aforementioned engineering disciplines will be assessed by the Academic Committee of the Master program. The committee will evaluate the professional profile and determine their admission based on the criteria of knowledge, professional, or research experience. This evaluation will be carried out in accordance with the General Regulations for Graduate Studies at ESPOL and the RPC-SO-25-No.491-2017 Sole Article of the Higher Education Council.

GRADUATE PROFILE

Graduates of Master of Civil Engineering Degree with a specialization in Construction and Sanitation will be able to:

Work as consultant in the construction and sanitary sectors.
Lead construction and sanitary projects in managerial and sub-managerial positions.
Perfom the evaluation of existing structures.
Design innovative technologies in construction and sanitation field.
Establish as a project manager in the public and private sectors, performing evaluation and execution activities.
Engage in teaching and research.

Requirements

For Ecuadorian applicants, an updated ID card. For foreign applicants, a valid ID or passport issued by their country of residence.
For Ecuadorian applicants, an updated voter registration certificate.
For applicants who obtained their third-level degree in Ecuador, it must be properly registered with SENESCYT. For applicants who obtained their third-level degree abroad, it must be properly registered with SENESCYT (https://siau.senescyt.gob.ec) or have a certified or legalized copy with consular approval.
