APPLICANT PROFILE
The Master's Degree in Petroleum is aimed at applicants who hold a bachelor's degree in the following related fields: Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Geology Engineering, and Mining Engineering. These profiles are preferred. If an applicant holds a bachelor's degree in a field different from those mentioned above, the Admissions Committee will evaluate and decide if the applicant's profile meets the admission requirements based on their knowledge, professional experience, or research background.
GRADUATE PROFILE
Graduate students of this program will develop the following learning outcomes:
- Apply best practices in the calculation of reserves and production of oil and natural gas, considering relevant economic factors and regulations.
- Evaluate a production system and its components to meet needs within realistic constraints.
- Use modern technology to solve significant problems in petroleum engineering practice.
