The Master’s in Materials Science and Engineering equips professionals with advanced expertise in materials engineering, preparing them to drive scientific and technological advancements in research, academia, and industry.

Students will develop in-depth knowledge in the design, processing, application, and sustainability of both traditional and advanced materials. They will also explore techniques to enhance material properties, optimize manufacturing processes, and create innovative solutions for a wide range of industries.

This program is designed for professionals with a bachelor’s degree registered in SENESCYT, preferably in Engineering, Industry, or Construction.

  • To apply theoretical-experimental methods to elucidate the structure-property-processing relationship of modern materials through characterization techniques, experiment design, modeling and simulation.
  • To develop new materials through synthesis, processing and modeling and simulation techniques, management of bibliographic resources and periodical publications in the field of materials science and engineering and related areas.
  • To apply concepts of sustainability and durability of new materials taking into account from its design the efficient use of energy throughout its useful life until its final disposal for its effective use.
