OVERVIEW

The program aims to train professionals capable of contributing to the development of the country's infrastructure by preparing civil engineers or professionals from related fields in the domain of seismic-resistant structural engineering. This will enable professionals to acquire skills for the analysis and design of new structures to withstand seismic activity, as well as the evaluation and reinforcement of existing structures vulnerable to earthquakes, always applying seismic-resistant criteria. Additionally, they will be capable of making decisions to achieve structures with adequate seismic performance and providing guidance/advice on energy dissipation elements and/or base seismic isolation.
